Where does Nina Proudman eat?

OK, so I wrote this for a friend back when I was obsessing over Offspring.  I thought I would share it with you.

Dear Offspring fan,

Ever wanted to know where Nina and her pals go in Melbourne? Or just looking for a new place to go to on a Saturday morning?

So many locations from the show I recognized from brunches with my uni friends out in Fitzroy or when I grab a coffee after checking out one of the many warehouse sales held on Brunswick St, such as Sass and Bide, Alanah Hill and Bettina Liano, so I thought I’d share them with you.

Madame Sou Sous - Great Coffee.  Highly recommended. Lunch menu is not bad either.

Red Tongue Cafe - Not bad for brunch: Breakfast Pizza tastes better than it sounds. Coffee is average though.  Also, for Chris/ Nina fans, this is the filming location for the ceramic chair scene:

The Black Cat - Great for take away coffee or if you want to snuggle into one of their mis-matched couches with a book.  Also good for an arvo beer outside.

St Judes - Where Nina went on her double date with Billy, Mick and her dad’s doctor, early season 2.  Also the same restaurant when Dr Chris came back in season two - the heartbreaking speech that made all Patrick fans’ shit hit the roof. I’ve never eaten here but I am keen to.

Also slightly off the map is Dench Bakers (where Jimmy met the bakery girl).

And the Union Club Hotel, where Jimmy works, Kim gave birth and Mick sang the best song ever, not as eventful in real life and not the most amazing place to spend a Saturday evening.  But not the worst night of my life either.
